About Temperature Select Air.
Temperature Select Air is a heating, cooling and refrigeration company based in Fresh Meadows, Queens. It was founded by Yuriy Alishayev, who goes by Yuri. His father did HVAC work in Russia. Yuri picked up the same trade, and he has been doing it for a living since 2005.
Twenty years in the trade.
Yuri finished high school in 2005 and went straight to trade school for HVAC and refrigeration. He earned the EPA Universal (Section 608) certification, which is the federal certification required to handle refrigerant in any system type.
Then came the part that actually teaches you the work: about a decade in the field for other companies. Service calls, install crews, night calls in winter, roof units in July. You learn the difference between a part that failed and a part that failed for a reason.
In 2015 he opened Temperature Select Air LLC and ran it in the Denver metro for ten years. Over that stretch the company earned 4.7 stars across 263 reviews on Thumbtack, was hired 488 times, and was named a Thumbtack Top Pro three times, in 2021, 2023 and 2025.
In 2026 he moved the family and the business to Fresh Meadows, Queens. It is still a two-man shop. The person who quotes your job is the person doing the work.
